In her groundbreaking book, award-winning journalist Donna Jackson Nakazawa shows the link between Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), such as childhood exposure to parents&#8217; divorce or separation, and adult illnesses such as heart disease, auto-immune disease, and cancer. Childhood Disrupted also explains how to cope with these emotional traumas and even heal from them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:17px\">As the book&#8217;s subtitle suggests, &#8220;your biography becomes your biology&#8221;; the emotional trauma we suffer as children not only shapes our emotional lives as adults, it also affects our physical health, longevity, and overall wellbeing.
